A digipak is a fold-out panelled CD holder, designed to be more economically friendly through using card/hard paper materials rather than using plastic. They consist of a 4-panel minimum, and are usually more expensive, as they often provide more content than a regular CD, such as information about the band/artist, inserts, exclusive photos and additional content to promote the band/artist and to please the fans. They are larger than a CD, around 140mm by 125mm, with 6mm spines. Panels which fold inwards are usually around 138mm by 125mm so that the digipak folds away neatly. Digipaks are a popular collectors item, costing between £9.99 and £14.99.
