An advert is a poster or image, usually featured in magazines which covers the genre of the artist/band, which gives the audience information about a new release of song or album in a visually exciting way. They often feature corresponding artwork which is relevant or identical to the artwork featured on the cover of the product advertised, and tell us information which would encourage the purchase, such as popular or featured songs on the album. You may also find typical codes and conventions, such as release dates, band titles/typography/logos/artwork/iconography, record labels and publishing information.
