Over the course of the 4 week A2 transition, we were given the task of creating a lip-sync music video, for which we had to film, perform in and edit to create a final product. We had a total 3 hours to plan, 3 hours to film and 3 hours to edit using adobe premier-pro. Our group chose the song '5, 6, 7, 8' by Steps, as it had an established dance routine, as well as opportunities for quick edits, which we used to our advantage by cutting between each of us.
Quick edits
The techniques we learned came mainly from editing, including cutting clips to length, creating credit pages, transitions between clips (fades, dips etc), layering audio and removing sound clips. The most advanced effect we used for our video was creating a split screen by layering multiple clips on top of each other and cropping the screen to reveal different sections of the video at once. I am really happy with the audio, as it is in sync with the video to match the song. The video project provided me with a more confident range of skills to use in premier-pro and was a lot of fun to make.
